Newsletter on climate change and human health in Europe

Dear reader,

The 9th Partner Meeting of the European Climate and Health Observatory took place on May 21 - 2022, 2025 in Luxembourg, bringing together representatives from the European Commission services, EU agencies, international organizations, and network organizations.

At the meeting, partners committed to advancing capacity building initiatives and expanding the Observatory’s role in translating evidence into action through accessible data, continued knowledge creation, and targeted policy support. The Observatory will also play a critical role in the shaping the Commission’s upcoming European Climate Resilience and Risk Management Initiative and support the implementation of the recently published Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda on Climate Change and Health. Addressing emerging knowledge needs, strengthening collaboration and information exchange within the partnership, and targeting communication to citizens and policy makers were also highlighted as priorities.

The meeting concluded with strong momentum and a renewed commitment to driving integrated, evidence-based action within the climate-health nexus.
